2019 Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award


 Poet V Madhusoodanan Nair won the award for his collection of poems in the Malayalam category

 The award was announced in 22 languages, including English.


 The GST on state lotteries has been increased from 12% to 28%.  The decision was implemented by a vote of the GST Council.  This is the first time a vote has been taken on the GST Council.
